QUESTIONS (Q) &
ANSWERS (A)
Q. What is the MAR?
A. The MAR determines the patient’s present state of wellness.
Developed by physicians, pharmacist and nutritionists, it has been used by
thousands of individuals during the past 20 years.
Q. Who will benefit from the MAR program?
A. Any individual interested in longevity and wellness.
Q. What is the MAR based on?
A. The patient’s personal health profile and results from
standard medical lab tests are integrated and evaluated from a nutritional
perspective. Results of the MAR are presented in the form of a written report.
This report is also available 24 hours online.
Q. What does the MAR tell me?
A. Two important things…. it recommends individualized
nutritional supplementation with cellular food concentrates and suggests
specific dietary modifications. The MAR is an opportunity for the patient to
become more proactive in creating optimum health.
Q. Does the MAR diagnose any disease or illness?
A. The MAR is a program directed for wellness and prevention.
It is supportive rather than diagnostic or therapeutic. The physician has the
responsibility to review the laboratory results and determine any potential
illness.
Q. What role does the physician play?
A. The physician monitors the nutritional program. The MAR
recognizes the patient’s unique biochemical individuality and recommends
specific cellular food concentrates that are standardized for nutrient content.
The physician or staff member discusses the individualized recommendations with
the patient.
Q. What about medications the patient may be taking?
A. Dietary modification and supplementation will improve the
patient’s nutritional status and support his recovery from illness. Good
nutrition complements any drug or herbal therapy that he may require. In case
of certain medical intervention, such as surgery, the intake of some nutrients
must be stopped.
Q. How long does the patient stay on the program?
A. The MAR should be part of the patient’s annual physical
examination. In the first year it is recommended that the patient follows up
MAR re-evaluation after four months. Dietary needs will change during this
time.
Q. Will medical insurance pay for the MAR?
A. The MAR may be covered by medical insurance. Some insurance
plans may cover dietary supplements if recommended by a physician.
Q. What information does the MAR require to evaluate a
patient?
A. A completed wellness evaluation questionnaire as well as
blood test results from a medical laboratory determine the patient’s personal
health status.
